PAGE Members:
The feature article of the fall issue of PAGE ONE Magazine will explore
some
of the key issues, frustrations and challenges in education in Georgia
today. Obviously, teachers and administrators are the ones who know
best
what is happening in our schools and we want to hear from them directly.
Please ask your building contacts to ask teachers and administrators to
share with us in their own words what they think about education policy,
practice and direction in Georgia today. What do they think is working
well? What are some of their biggest frustrations and challenges? What
changes would they like to see in school, local, state and/or federal
education policy? What one or two policy changes would most help them
do their jobs better?
Because this is for an article which will be published, we would prefer
that all comments be "on the record," meaning that the comments will be
attributed to the educator by name. If, however, an educator has an
opinion he or she wishes to give without attribution, we will have to
identify the teacher at least by subject taught and school system.
If you want to repond and have your remarks considered for inclusion in
the article, please e-mail Lee Raudonis at [log in to unmask]
Be sure to let him know if you want to be on the record or not.
